Post-Congress Tours & Accompanying Persons Program
Post-Congress tours:
On Monday 23rd of August there will be organised three post congress tours which all have the duration of 1 day.
The first goes to Gränna-Visingsö.
This tour willl go by bus from Jönköping along the Eastern side of the lake Vättern, with beautiful views over the lake and the surrounding landscape with the little isle of Visingsö thrown out in the water. We will take the ferry, a trip of about 20 minutes, and once on the island of Visingsö, we will travel by carriage drawn by horses to visit this oak and beech covered, but also historical, place – it is said to be the cradle of the kingdom of Sweden – to visit the 13th century church of Kumlaby and the Temple Garden, an oasis and art gallery in an unusual setting. After lunch, we will visit the little town of Gränna. We will have a lesson in the story of the peppermint rock “polkagris” and make our own!
