Post-congress excursions (29.08.2009) - propositions
ATTENTION: Please note that due to an insufficient interest in post-congress excursions to Torun and Poznan these trips will not be organised. The choices remaining are thus as follows:
1. Trip to Warsaw
ŁÓDŹ – WARSAW - ŁÓDŹ
29.08.2009
Meeting of the participants and the pilot at 7 a.m. in Łódź. Drive to Warsaw for about 3 hours. At 10 a.m. meeting with guide and sightseeing:
The Old Town (The Royal Castle, Square)
The Royal Road
Royal Łazienki (park, The Palace on a Water)
Lunch in Gromada Centrum Hotel
Wilanów (gardens, the residence of king Sobieski)
Return to Lodz at about 9 p.m.
Price (with entrance tickets covered): 60 EUR/per person
2. Trip around Łódź region
Łódź - Pabianice - Bełchatów - Piotrków - Inowłódz - Łódź

8.00 - departure of participants with English guide.
Programme:
Pabianice - short sightseeing (St. Mathew’s church, houses of weavers’, Endlers’ Family’s Palace, synagogue)
Bełchatów - Museum of Local Culture, mine (projection in a hall, viewing terrace)
Lunch
Piotrków Trybunalski - Trybunalski’s Square (town hall, old houses), monuments of Jewish culture (cemetery, old school, synagogue)
Tomaszów Mazowiecki - outdoor museum of Pilica River, Blue Springs (sightseeing of a nature reserve), railway shelters for Hitler’s train (about 350 metres long)
Inowłódz - The ruins of the Kazimierz the Great’s castle, synagogue, St. Idzi’s church
The trip is expected to end during evening hours at around 2200hrs
