Information on Dates and Deadlines

Dates and Deadlines (GMT+1):

  • Open submission of abstracts and papers: is OPEN
  • Deadline for submission of abstracts and Papers (for R-Sessions, Young Scientist Sessions, Special Sessions, and O-Sessions): 17th February 2012
  • Notification of acceptance of abstracts and papers: 16th April 2012
  • Deadline for registration at reduced fee: 21st May 2012
  • Deadline for registration and payment to be included in the program: 10th June 2012
  • Deadline for the upload of other papers for USB stick: 30th June 2012
  • Program for the congress book: Mid July
  • ERSA 2011 Congress: 21st - 25th August 2012

LOGIN

LOGIN Procedure:

To be able to submit your abstract/paper you must first LOGIN in the Congress Participant Area.

You will then receive an access key which will allow you to view and update your submission details, to to make an additional submission. or to register (as from 16th April, 2012).

The access key given to you is personal, please do not share this anyone else.

Rules and Terms & Conditions


Types of submission:

1) For Refereed Sessions, Young Scientists’ Sessions (EPAINOS Prize)*

The following items must be submitted:

  • Title of the paper
  • A theme must be selected (listed from A-R)
  • Abstract (min. 350 - max. 400 words) including keywords and JEL codes
  • Full paper must be uploaded (pdf format)
  • *For the Epainos Prize submission: All authors of the submitted paper must be less than 33 years old on 25th August 2012. The theme " ZZ-SS Urban Economics Association - Young Scientists" can also be selected.

2) For Special Sessions

The following items must be submitted:

  • Title of the paper
  • A theme must be selected (listed from ZA-ZZB)
  • Abstract (min. 350 - max. 400 words) including keywords and JEL codes
  • The upload of the full paper is not mandatory but is highly recommended in order to increase your chances of being accepted in a special session.

3) For Ordinary Sessions

The following items must be submitted:

  • Title of the paper
  • A theme must be selected (listed from A-R)
  • Abstract (min. 350 - max. 400 words) including keywords and JEL codes

FOR ALL SESSIONS: updates on the papers’ details can be made until the 17th February, 2012 (deadline for submission).


Technical specifications

Abstract: The length of the Abstract text should not exceed 400 words.

Full paper: The length of the Papers should not exceed 20 pages of text (approx. 40,000 characters (without space). Pdf format.

Formatting: Times New Roman 12pt; spacing: 1.5 rows; margins: 2.5cm Notes (references in the footnotes) in the text should have uniform numbering.


After notification of acceptance (16th April, 2012)

  • For abstracts accepted to O Sessions, the full paper can be uploaded until the 30 June, 2012, it will be included in the USB key gathering all papers’ to be presented during the Congress.
  • For all other reviewed abstracts and papers, important amendments must be asked by email to info@ersa.org.

Discussant

Each paper accepted for presentation in Refereed Sessions and Young Scientists’ Sessions will be assigned a discussant approx. one month before the beginning of the Congress.


Registration

Once the notification of acceptance have been sent out, participants are requested to register and pay the due registration fee. Registration is effective after full receipt of payment. Only registered participants will be included in the programme.


Presenting author(s)

The presenting author must be (co)-author of the abstract/paper. The submitter must be (one of) the presenting author(s).

All future correspondence will in fact be sent to the submitter.

Moreover, when Registration will start, if the paper is presented by two authors, both presenting authors must register to the Congress and pay the due fee.

If the presenting author is another author than the submitter, the requested change must be sent to info@ersa.org so that the paper is moved to the new presenting author.

A same presenting author will be allowed to make maximum 2 presentations during the congress.


Review

  • The Scientific Committee will review the abstracts and the papers all at the same time.
  • The Special Session Convenors will review abstracts (and) papers all at the same time.
  • An abstract/paper can be accepted or rejected from the congress.
  • The Scientific Committee is allowed to move a submission to another theme or another type of session.

RePec

ERSA Congress papers are included in the RePec Database after the Congress if the author has given permission to include it.
