Guidelines for submitting papers for the 49th European Congress of the RSAI

Dear ERSA 2009 participants,

Please follow these guidelines when submitting papers for the 49th European Congress of the RSAI:

1. The paper should include a summary (an abstract) of not more than half a page (250 words).

2. The paper should be delivered electronically, through the Speaker Zone. In case of using unusual word processors the authors should make sure that they save their files in RTF format.

3. The maximum length of the article should not exceed 20 pages of text (approx. 10,000 words).

4. Formatting:

Times New Roman 12pt;
spacing: 1.5 rows;
margins: 2.5cm

5. The quality of images should allow for their direct reproduction. Illustrations in the form of bitmap must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi and be saved in a typical graphical format.

6. Notes (references in the footnotes) in the text should have uniform numbering.

7. Table of literature should include all items referred to in the text, arranged alphabetically (by name of author) and numbered consecutively. Each entry should consist of the name of author, title, publisher name, place and year of publication.

8. Papers should be carefully prepared so that they can be included in the congress CD-ROM / flash disk without alterations, except for routine editorial amendments.

9. Specific comments relating to the preparation of maps, drawings and photos:
a. Images can be prepared in Corel Draw or other graphics programs such as Adobe Illustrator. If you are saving as bitmaps – save to a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
b. Photos should be saved as .jpg or .tiff files with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
c. please note that the illustrative material downloaded from the Internet is not suitable for printing, because of low resolution.
