The University of Luxembourg calls for applications for the following positions in
Economics in its Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance.
Post-Doctoral Position/Research Assistant in Applied
Economics (M/F)

2-year contract, 40h/week, renewable once.
The applicant will perform researches in the area of Micro-Economics with
preference to Industrial Organizations, International Economics, Regional Economics,
Spatial Economics and Economic Geography. The applicant is expected to seek
publication in scientific reviews and contributions to conferences, assist and mentor
PhD candidates, assist with teaching activities, one to three hours a week and
contribute to tutoring students. We offer personal work space at the University and
attractive remuneration.
Profile: PhD in economics, with a specialization in microeconomics; excellent skills
in microeconomic modelling and ability to conduct research autonomously at a post-
doctoral level; fluency in either English or French, good understanding of the second
language and possibly a third language, German in particular, will be considered an
advantage; team-oriented.
Doctoral Position/ Teaching Assistant in Micro-Economics (M/F)

The applicant will be working in the Economic Department and within the research
unit, CREA. The assistant is expected to work on a PhD dissertation in the area of
Micro-Economics with preference to Industrial Organizations, International
Economics, Regional Economics, Spatial Economics and Economic Geography. We
offer personal work space at the University and attractive remuneration.
Profile: Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics or Management Science (with
high level quantitative background); fluency in English and/or French is a
prerequisite; German will be considered an advantage.
